Revenge of the Electric Car

Revenge of the Electric Car: "After years of false starts and failures, the electric car may finally be poised to go big-time. With automakers from GM to Chrysler to Nissan preparing to roll out new plug-in hybrids or all-electric models, it looks like the transition from gasoline to electricity is now irreversible."

I'm awalays amazed at how people don't seem to know the perfectly obvious. Gasoline (and cruse oil fuels) are used for far more things than simply powering private automobiles. Boats, RVs, airplanes, lawn maintenance equipment, commercial trucks, etc.
all use about half the crud oil we consume. Even if no gasoline at all werre used by any cars, we'd still be depdndenton foreign oil. And brainless Obama is leading his equally brainless supporters into beliving that a million plug-in on the road will actually accomplish something - do the math, stupid. That would reduce crude oil consumption bt less than 1/5th of 1 percent. Boy, is that going to scare those oil producing cartels!!
