Are you a jerk at work? Marshall Loeb's Daily Money Tip - MarketWatch

Are you a jerk at work? Marshall Loeb's Daily Money Tip - MarketWatch: "According to an article in the June issue of the Harvard Business Review, an overwhelming majority of people would rather work with a less-skilled but likeable person than a more-competent jerk.

The study was conducted by Tiziana Casciaro, assistant professor of organizational behavior at Harvard Business School, and Miguel Sousa Lobo, assistant professor of decision sciences at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. They collected data involving 10,000 work relationships.

Given these detailed studies, it may be worthwhile to ask: Are you the office jerk?

While most people deny being a jerk at work, in our overstressed and competitive work environment it's easy not to always notice when you're behaving badly."
