Petaluma, Calif.-based Enphase Energy said today it raised $40 million in its fourth institutional round of financing for its micro-inverter systems for solar installations.
The startup claims to have sold and shipped more than 250,000 micro-inverters since its launch in 2006. The new round, a mix of equity and debt, is expected to fund future expansion plans."
